Kei and (her daughter) Masako run intimate, casual Japanese cooking classes. They are unique in that you are part of the whole Japanese culinary experience. In 2010, we will be running more of our kaiseki classes again, as there seems to be greater interest in kaiseki of late. The classes are for people with a some familiarity with Japanese ingredients, please have a look at our Cooking Class Schedule .
If you are unsure whether the classes are for you, you might want to check out some of the foodblogs by people who have attended classes in the past (see list below) or this article by another participant which appeared in The Australian newspaper on May 24, 2008 . Also, Kei and Masako were in the Food Safari program which aired on SBS on Dec. 5th. 2007 and also repeated on June 4th, 2008 and a few times since...
Some food blogs of past kaiseki class participants:
grabyourfork: Helen is a consummate blogger, and there is also a review of her blog in News and Views section.
cookingismypassion: Su Lin is passionate about cakes, and these cakes are certainly...unique...
from chopstix to steak knives: Here is another passionate eater.
usagibento: this is a great site if you are a bento fan.
minamihankyu: this is a blog in Japanese. It features golf, food, golf, food, tennis, food, golf.....
petitetiare: this is another Japanese blog.
For further information or to book a class, please email masako or call her on 0418 472 597 (we're in Sydney, Australia by the way)
