Cooking Class Schedule for 2010 PDF  | Print |

Classes in 2010:

Our classes are for people interested in cooking Japanese food at home, not suitable for chefs. The Kaiseki classes are for people who have had some experience cooking Japanese cuisine, and are familiar with kaiseki.

All classes are one-off, one-day sessions from 10:00 a.m. finish by 2 p.m.; held in Chatswood, Sydney; small, about 8 people, so very hands on, meaning experience oriented and participation is key. Dishes are traditional, and we emphasise the basics so you can go home and re-create, or create versions of your own, so ingredients, method, presentation and Japanese eating etiquette will feature.

February 13th or 14th:  Late Summer Menu Kaiseki   $160 We usually make a 7 course seasonal menu, so seasonality, presentation, flavour combinations are emphasised (and eating etiquette, if required....)

March 13th or 14th: Japanese Meat Dishes $130

April 10th or 11th: Mid-Autumn Menu Kaiseki $160

May 8th or 9th: Late-Autumn Menu Kaiseki $160

June 12th or 13th: Early Winter Menu Kaiseki $160

July 11th or 12th: Winter Menu Kaiseki   $160

August 9th or 10th: Japanese Fish Dishes $130

September 11th or 12th: Spring Menu Kaiseki (Hinamatsuri-Doll Festival) $160

October 9th or 10th: Spring Menu Kaiseki  (Ohanami-Cherry Blossom Festival) $160

November 13th or 14th: Party Menu $150
